Coincidentally I have also not slept all night. Not cuz of this though, for a change hah, and not from working a night shift either lol.

I used to work night shifts and leave or get home right at daybreak. There was always this horrendous feeling about it, but there was also this brief moment of looking at the sun come up and noticing how still and quiet everything is... those moments were very pleasant.
Now I experience them through my work/cave window. YEA!


Mostly this was just style testing, working out kinks in the graphite powder/pencil/white charcoal look :B

This looks amazing, the way you did the colour is simply gorgeous. I like being up by like five or so and leaving the house by six so when I am waiting for the bus it is still dark and the light is just coming out. It's fantastic. Really made me feel the morning (that sentence made no sense). I love your art so much, seeing a new finished image fills my happy meter. Keep doing what you're doing because it's awesome.

Wow, the colors are great! You do a great job putting down tonal subtleties. The highlights in the hair are outstanding, and well as the rosy flush in the knuckles and his face, and on the ear. How long did this take, what is graphite powder, and is that blood on his shirt?

Beautiful art as always.

Although the body type here looks a bit anorexic. I'm not sure if you did that on purpose. I mean, night shifts definitely screw up eating patterns.
