Thanks for everyone who purchased commissions during the sales period, but they're officially over now. Commissions in general remain open however
------------------
So it hasn't really been announced yet but it's sort of been.
Details will come later via interview once it's online, but anyway, Marian is on hiatus. Most likely permanent, possibly not but I don't know yet so in the meantime job hunting.
And also COMMISSIONS. *edit- added some more examples and another category from my blog*
What I'd like to do is just offer a few very general price ranges and guidelines.
Each price will depend on what you'd like done and what for (please keep in mind published works need my permission first and would require a separate set of ranges), but I know it's a little nerve-wracking asking an artist to do something and feeling like you may not be offering enough.
So here are some general guidelines and general image ideas*:
-Having more than one character will affect the price
-if you want referenced likeness (from photos, celebrities etc) in your commissioned work this will affect the price. I will not be doing traditional portraits, however commissioned illustrations of real people with provided reference are not out of the question. You provide several references or even video and I'll create my own image from it. For example:
-I won't be doing anything for less than $20. This is the sketch range. Depending on the sketch complexity. Simple busts will be the cheapest.
-Adding spotted shading would be in the upper range ($30-40):
-Color character concepts =$50+
-Fully rendered commissions =$80+
-Full color commissions (no background, or suggested background) =$150-$250+
-Fully illustrated (scenes, full backgrounds, etc) commissions =$300+ (color or B&W)
* Please note, I cannot mimic old styles, even of my own. Please see my most recent works to know what you'd be getting. Also note these prices do not include the original drawings, however they are available for purchase separately.
All pieces are graphite powder, pencil, and white charcoal on toned paper colorized in photoshop.
If you're not sure what you could get for the money you have, feel free to ask! I'm very willing to work with you
However this does not mean I will come down on prices, only that I can tell you what I'd be willing to do for the money you have. My prices are based on working hours and thus non-negotiable.

Probably goodbye...
I'm sad to say I don't think I can realistically even try to keep up with this DA anymore friends.
I've been on this site for 13 years now, wow.
I really wanted to keep up with it, but unfortunately my health is poor, and I'm just too busy dealing with that, babysitting my new niece, and trying to find time for art wherever I can.
I may try to come back here eventually, but for now, thank you all for the lovely comments and support! I'm just gonna let this DA go, at least for now, possibly for the foreseeable future.
If you want to keep up with my work, I'm still making it frequently, and here's where I'm still keeping updated:
sketch/a
Playing catchup again
I really need to get back on the ball with updating here.
I keep forgetting what I haven't posted now LOL.

Has anyone commissioned you for more than $300 yet? That's a lot of money...
